How Do You Value Your Vehicle?

Hint: We're not just talking money here.

Consider this: for most of us, our vehicle is our life line. We take our kids to school in it. We rely on it for grocery runs to feed our families. We take our elderly parents to doctor appointments. The list goes on and on of tasks that most of us could not do without our vehicle. Tasks that we often take for granted.

Now picture yourself without your vehicle for more than a day. Your 86 year old mother misses her doctor appointment. You run out of formula for the baby. Where does that leave you? Feeling stranded. This scenario is within the realm of reality if you don't take care of your vehicle.

Like a visit to the doctor for a checkup to make sure your medications are working, your automotive technician does a checkup on your vehicle. If you're diabetic, you have to make sure you're taking the proper amount of insulin or things can go terribly wrong. If your vehicle doesn't have enough of the proper fluids in it, it can cause catastrophic problems with your engine. See where we're going with this?

Make a habit for yourself to make routine maintenance appointments for your vehicles. Some shops will even offer a complimentary "health inspection" during a visit. It's good to know what may need urgent attention to avoid catastrophe versus something that you should address within a month or two. Not only will you be able to plan out your maintenance costs but this gives you a chance to get repairs done before a $200 fix becomes a $2000 expense (not to mention being without your vehicle while it's being repaired.) AND that health inspection can bring some serious peace of mind, knowing that your vehicle is safe to drive.

Not only is it important to keep the moving parts of your vehicle in good working order, how about the overall cleanliness? Washing the exterior on a regular basis can help keep your paint in good condition which can help immensely when selling your vehicle. Chemical residue from road brine during the winter months, deep scratches and bubbling paint can lead to rust which will substantially decrease the resale value. Mats to decrease the wear on the carpet over time, clean up spills to avoid stains, etc. It's not about keeping your vehicle pretty but thinking about how much your vehicle will be worth in the future. So, yes, some of this IS about money!

Now, go back and answer that question: How do you value your vehicle? Is your answer the same or different? Now go get your vehicle a checkup and take that baby to the wash!

Rolling into 2022

With 2021 in the rear view mirror, we want to highlight some amazing things that have happened for the Nealey Auto Service family as well as give some insight into what's in store for 2022. Above all we want to thank our customers, both new and established for being along for the ride!

The greatest highlight of 2021 was opening our second location. On August 2, 2021 we opened the doors to our Deale shop to better serve our South County customers. With every new beginning comes some minor differences but we strive daily to achieve the same core values and qualities across the board. "Grow or Die", right?!

Many personal and professional goals were achieved by our staff this year. One of our technicians who had been a member of the Nealey family since nearly the beginning has moved on to his dream job of being a police officer, another recently got engaged. We have added some new staff members, others have moved up to new positions. Like any family, we are constantly growing and changing for the better.

In 2022, we will be on track to open shop number three and continue the trend for several more new locations. Our goal is to spread the Nealey Auto Service Core Values across a wider area. We pride ourselves in offering that "mom & pop shop" experience with an exceptional level of professionalism and expertise in a wide range of vehicle makes and models. From your 1998 Toyota pickup to your 2022 Tesla, we've got you covered!

From the Nealey Auto Service family, we wish you a safe and successful 2022 and can't wait to share some new ventures with our customers! Hint: this is the beginning of our new blog that we will share regularly, packed with information focusing on commonly asked questions about routine vehicle maintenance and repairs as well as other gems of knowledge that every vehicle owner should keep in mind.

Brakes For Breasts 2020

Nealey Tire & Auto is excited to announce that we are participating in this year's Brakes for Breasts! During the month of October, we will provide our customers with FREE brake pads and donate 10% of the total of the brake job to the Brakes for Breasts.

The best part of this program is the fact that 100% of all funds raised go directly to scientific research! Please join us in supporting this great cause.

For every brake service performed in October 2020, our customers will receive their brake pads for FREE and just pay for the labor and other parts. ( Some limitations apply. See store for details)

We will donate 10% of that brake service to The Cleveland Clinic Breast Cancer Vaccine Research Fund.

Each customer is responsible for any difference in the brake pad cost. Labor, tax, and shops supplies, or any additional items needed to perform the brake service is not included. Can't be combined with any other offer.

It’s a beautiful Summer day outside. You’re early for your appointment, looking your best, and full of enthusiasm as you jump in the car. You start the engine and pull out the driveway, turning on the air conditioning. Hmmm… it doesn’t feel that cool. In fact, it feels like hot air. It probably just needs a minute. Ten minutes later, you turn off the fan to stop it from blowing hot air on you. By the time you get to your appointment, your hair is plastered to your head, and you are absolutely steamed… in more ways than one.
